Serves: 16-24 depending on the size of your sourdough loaf*
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 20 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 x loaf of sourdough bread
- 100g olivani or butter, room temperature
- 4 tsp The Friendly Food Co. Garli-Not Garlic Replacement Powder
- 3 tsp The Friendly Food Co. O-No-Nion onion replacement powder
- 1 small handful parsley, finely chopped
- 2 Tbsp chives, finely chopped
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup mozzarella, grated
- ¼ cup parmesan, grated
Method
- Pre-heat oven to 180°C fan bake. Line a baking tray with baking paper and set aside.
- Make the garlic butter: In a small bowl add the softened butter, Garli-Not Garlic Replacement Powder, O-No-Nion onion replacement powder, parsley, chives and salt. Vigorously mix together until well combined.
- Using a sharp knife, slice the loaf in a criss-cross pattern to create cubes, being careful not to cut all the way through the base of the loaf.
- Spread garlic butter generously into all the gaps between the bread. Push small amounts of mozzarella and parmesan into each gap so the cheese is evenly distributed throughout the loaf.
- Transfer to a lined baking tray and bake for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly and golden on top.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving. Pull apart and enjoy while warm.
